Youth Leadership
Leadership is an important element for any scout troop. We strive to be a youth lead organization as much as possible and hold elections for our senior leadership twice per year. Other leadership roles can be requested and awarded with scoutmaster approval. To find out what each role is all about and what the job entails, please look over our leadership duty role forms below. Each one outlines the overall expectations for each role.
Our goal is to provide clear expectations for scouts in each role. Scouts will then go through an evaluation with their adult role specific mentor every two months using NYLT Start/Stop/Continue methodology so that they can get feedback on what they’re already doing well at as well as something their mentor would like to see them work on. The evaluation form is also available below.
