2024-12: Backpacking at Pine Mountain

Had a small group of scouts brave the cold last weekend for a quick overnight hike down at Pine Mountain. It was a great hike to learn what you should and should not bring on a backpacking trek, how to cook on a backpacking trek, and of course, the importance of dressing in layers. 2024-11: Cookapalooza

What better in November than a weekend focused solely on cooking! And more than just that, alternative cooking methods with foods you don’t see as often on campouts. We spent just about the entire day cooking one thing or another, from fresh fried apple fritters, to silver turtle chili dogs, to homemade from scratch bread, it was all delicious!! The scouts capped off the night with songs and jokes around the fire, what a great weekend. Can’t wait to see what recopies scouts come up with on our next campout!
