What a great week at Summer Camp 2025! Despite the rain, the Scouts accomplished over 30 merit badges in just one week. As there were actual no trips to the health lodge, the Sock Patrol had ample time to practice First Aid and complete various requirements to rank up. Some of the other Scouts in the Troop assisted the Woodruff Camp’s Ranger in a service project to clean up and mulch branches around the campground. Also, this was Mr. Carlin’s first time at Summer Camp with the Troop, and he thoroughly enjoyed his experience and watching everybody work together and have fun. The March campout took our Scouts to the Scout Challenge at Bert Adams where they joined over 2,000 others Scouters. Despite the weather shortening the camp out by a night, the Scouts enjoyed exploring themed stations offering unique challenges like deciphering secret codes, building survival shelters, or navigating obstacle courses. They also had the opportunity to enjoy team-based and solo quests to earn badges, and unlock hidden achievements, as well as trying new activities such as archery, axe throwing, and much more.
