Welcome to Troop 2319

Our goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. Our troop utilizes the Scout method to instill typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoors skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking.

Our activities are generally developed around a merit badge or advancement.  We encourage leadership development through attendance at National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and developmental leadership assignments.  We view an extended summer encampment (usually at Woodruff Scout Reservation), NYLT, or on a high adventure excursion as the highlight of our Calendar and encourage maximum participation in these events.   We believe young adults should have varied experiences and will work to merge Scouting requirements to dovetail with other extra curricular activities.
